Ocasio-Cortez Faces Legal Action For Blocking Someone On Twitter

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a far-left democratic socialist who claimed she was being harassed, is now being sued for her actions.

TheBlazeTV’s right-wing commentator Alex Stein was caught on camera telling AOC that she was his favorite “big booty Latina” on the Capitol steps in June 2022.

Stein claims in the lawsuit that AOC enjoyed the remarks because she responded by waving a peace sign at him, but that she later altered her mind when she found he wasn’t a supporter. He allegedly exclaimed that she wanted to “kill babies.” Now, Stein is suing her, arguing that she had violated his First Amendment rights by blocking him.

The lawsuit makes reference to Knight First Amendment Institute v. Donald J. Trump, in which it was decided that Trump’s blocking of a user on his official account violated the First Amendment.

According to the ruling, if a personal account is used for business, it may become official. Nevertheless, another ruling contradicts this one by stating that personal accounts that occasionally post official business may be exempted by this.

According to Stein’s attorney, he is attempting to communicate with the representative. Yet, Ocasio-Cortez has charged Stein with trying to utilize his fanaticism to gain notoriety. In addition, she accused the Capitol Police of failing to defend her from his comments.

She was then questioned as to why she had approached him and given him the peace sign if he was bothering her, to which she replied that she was going to hit him in the face before deciding that would not be the best course of action.

The lawmaker has already been sued for blocking users on Twitter. After blocking former Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind, she settled a lawsuit in 2018.
