Capitol Police Under Fire After Being Caught Off Guard

On Wednesday evening, the United States of America Out of an abundance of caution, Capitol Police said that an evacuation order had been issued abruptly. An air incident prompted a number of news notifications.

It turned out that the incident was caused by the United States. Before military appreciation night, the Army Golden Nights parachuted into Nationals Park.

The reaction has raised questions about the Capitol Police’s competence, which has happened before.

Naturally, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who makes political use of the Capitol Police, is blaming the FAA and invoking January 6.

In a press release by Pelosi, she stated that our Congressional community is appreciative for the heroics of our United States Capitol Police officers today, and every day. Our officers maintained the safety of everyone who labor in these hallowed halls by ordering the evacuation of the Capitol and vigilantly monitoring for a potential aircraft danger, and we thank them for their excellent service. The apparent inability of the Federal Aviation Administration to alert Capitol Police of the pre-planned flyover over Nationals Stadium is both scandalous and unforgivable. Members, staff, and institutional workers were particularly harmed by the unneeded alarm produced by this apparent incompetence, since they were still dealing with the trauma of the attack on their workplace on January 6th.

She further stated that, “Congress looks forward to reviewing the results of a thorough after-action review that determines what precisely went wrong today and who at the Federal Aviation Administration will be held accountable for this outrageous and frightening mistake.”
