Michigan Police Stops Responding To Some Calls Due To High Gas Prices

The continuing rise in gas costs may potentially put towns in jeopardy. Due to rising gas prices, the Isabella County Police Department in Michigan has directed officers to handle all non-urgent calls by phone, according to new reports.

The Isabella County Police Department has already utilized 96 percent of the Sheriff’s Office’s gasoline budget, according to County Administrator Nicole Frost.

The national average for petrol is currently over $5 and shows no signs of decreasing. Gas prices in certain regions of California have jumped by more than $7.25, the current federal minimum wage.

Gas prices in the United States are setting new records almost every day, leading motorists to be concerned. However, the pain is not uniformly distributed around the country. Consider the few places where a gallon of regular gasoline costs the same as the $7.25 federal minimum.

According to local sources, fuel prices in California have hit a severe barrier at seven stations. To be sure, California’s minimum wage is much higher than the federal minimum, with workers earning at least $14 per hour in the state. However, spending $7.25 or more a gallon still eats into the average wage.

The national average price per gallon was $2.40 on the day Biden was inaugurated as Vice President of the United States on January 20, 2021, however now that Trump is out of power, the price has skyrocketed by more than 60%. Democrats, on the other hand, are focusing on the conclusions of the January 6th Committee rather than the greatest inflation rate and gas prices the country has ever seen.

Biden has plainly no remedy to the matter, as he boasted on Jimmy Kimmel last week that the United States has had more multiracial advertising than ever before under his leadership. Kimmel, who found Biden’s remarks odd, took a commercial break.
