Democrats Receive Devastating News about the Midterms

Democrats are working hard to refocus their message and goals. They are concerned that the gains they helped Mr. Biden achieve would be overshadowed by concerns about rising gas prices and a focus on their legislative failures.

Mr. Biden, who will speak to them at the conference on Friday, is expected to help them reframe the dialogue.

The idea of a transformative agenda to restructure the country’s social safety net, which was once the cornerstone of Democrats’ sales presentation to voters, has vanished. The phrase “Build Back Better” was practically taboo among the weary legislators who had only a few hours of sleep.

Biden is the one who put them into this predicament in the first place. To keep Democrats and Independents on his side, all he had to do was: not be Trump, and not be a far-left radical.

He did a lot of things successfully, but he also did a lot of things poorly; from scrapping Keystone to pulling soldiers out of Afghanistan in a rout, he’s shown to be an inept radical.

Worse, Biden failed to deliver a message of hope or a strategy of action during the Democratic Issues Conference. He was just given a warning.

He believes that this year’s off-year election is the most crucial off-year election in contemporary history. Because he knows what will happen if they lose the House and the Senate, he understands the fundamental shift that would occur. He’ll only have a veto pen at that point.

He also asked for the same level of enthusiasm as in 2020.

Then, during the winter meeting, he went completely off the tracks, absurdly arguing that his unpopular program is somehow popular.

“I believe we have a record to be incredibly proud of a message that resonates: Build a better America. Now we have to do the work.

“Now what we have to do is we have to sell it with confidence, clarity, conviction and repetition.”
